Anne-Emmanuelle Blum has set herself the challenge of creating top-of-the-range sofas and armchairs made exclusively by Fribourg companies, including PMF-System, with the launch of Dzofa.
A project born in 2023
The idea of designing a 100% local product came from a meeting with the PMF-System team at the FribourgOPEN 2023 trade fair organized by the Fribourg Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCIF). The modular, customizable system developed by the company appealed to the designer, who saw real potential in the field of interior design.
3 years of development
We’re off! The Dzofa will begin to take shape in PMF-System’s workshops in Marly during 2023. The first step will be to develop a modular, comfortable metal structure that can accommodate thick cushions and offer great design freedom. Both in terms of color and size. The simple armchair must be able to be transformed into a 3-seater sofa as and when required. And to be accompanied by a matching footstool. A dozen prototypes were tested in our workshops until the ideal formula was found. These ideas were accompanied by research into textiles and foams. This is where the companies B-Bolliger,Atelier de décoration d’intérieur Buntschu and BS Atelier came in.
Late 2025: the result in pictures
The Dzofa can now be tested and customized both in the Informelle store and online.
