Art : PMF-System exhibits
PMF-System’s patented assembly system allows countless applications, even the most unexpected. In fact, it won over Swiss artist Stéphanie Baechler, who used it to stage her latest work: Forget me not. The work consists in the creation of “hi-tech” fabrics suspended and pierced in the manner of old perforated cards used to embroider typical motifs of the St. Gallen textile industry, in this case forget-me-nots.
An open-air exhibition
The project came to fruition in the summer of 2024 with the suspension of the perforated fabric strips under the roof of the Tröckneturm, a former drying tower in the canton of St. Gallen. To protect the textiles from the elements, PMF-System supplied custom-made supports that could be rolled up if necessary. These now follow the work at other sites, such as the Whitehouse Gallery in Brussels (pictured).
